in Zhang's space, there are 3 distinct sections, the transportation, open, and office sections all make up Zhang's environment. the use of purple lighting suggests her femininity as she is a powerful woman in the corporate world. i also used the idea of recyclability in the environment through the same 't' shape forms. this represents her rise in power through collecting paper waste and making mass profits from them. hence, through using the same 't' shape forms, i am trying to portray how recycling/reusing things can have a positive output.

bottom of transportation section, also can act as an office space. with elevator to go up and ride the other elevator to the bridge.

here, i am trying to show how Zhang's office space/table was able to change environments whenever she likes. this symbolises the ability to transform ideas of things which points out to the idea of zhang's power in that flexibility in ideas is needed to be powerful.

final developed ut environment (job's space)

in this space, i was trying to represent his power in revolutionizing the way we use technology. the idea of individuality was heavily portrayed in this environment due to job's idea in 'creating an own personal world for consumers', for example, the ipod. the structure of the environment s industrial, as through researching job's power over things, i came to the idea of a technological, industrial context in where he profits mainly come from. the idea of innovation also came to my head as through job's investments, he continues to improve things. the form of the building shows this as they are quite tall looking which reflects a large skyscraper building. i also considered the employees/researchers of jobs', in that he needs these people for the success of his innovations.

there are 3 office spaces in the building. all with different lighting effects (red, blue, green) which reflect the idea of 'individuality'. also the elevator which passes each office block suggests how in links the 'sectors' interdependently, this also represents teamwork. and ultimately, shows how jobs' power is relied on the cooperation of others in order for his power to grow.

another office space, this is jobs' private space, with his personal elevator up to a more private office.

the facade of jobs' private office space. the colours represent the individuality of his technology. and also links to the ipod, in how consumers are able to personalise their ipods in terms of colour, music and etc. the textured bars which wrap around the whole environment also portrays the individuality of his power, it shows how he is protected in his personal world.

the upper private room of jobs' office. this shows a clear glass roof, to show how he is able to view above and beyond in where his ideas and innovations head (the future).

final developed ut environment (the bridge)

the bridge consists of two movers, the two large diagonal pillars which represents the 'coming together' of the two powerful clients acts as a 'doorway/ passage way' for the two. just simply push the diagonal form and it will be able to move in order to enter the dining table. i made this transparent to show the bright lighting of the middle, to show its significance and importance in meeting the other client.

walking from the dining table out to the elevators. just try to push the diagonal form again and it should lift up. you can either back out or continue to walk across the beam as it swings.

the dining table shows the power of the clients. the narrow edge which leads to an open space suggests their journey in power. from where they were not wealthy to where they are now as well as their social status. the round middle also suggests their equality as they both are still human after all and that neither are powerful than the other. the dining table hangs from the top, this represents how their futures relies on us, the consumers.

the elevators are in a constant loop, in that they dont wait for the clients. this shows the patience of the clients as they had to wait to get where they are now. so, the clients must wait for their elevators to bring them up to the bridge space.

jobs' elevator represents the North East South West aspect. his power has spread right across the world and influenced the way technology is. also, through creating a box-like figure, it also shows the power of individuality as it is a part of his power (the use of a clear tunnel also strengthens this idea) and theme in his innovations.

Zhang's elevator shows the openness of her power, in that it mainly involves with the environment and using its resources. the clear bottom and top shows how she is able to see all around her and creates a feeling that she is still outside. the opening can also show this. the triangular shape represents growth of her power, in that she started out powerless, to powerful in that she is not able to fit to the end of the elevator shows how she is not able to turn back.
